Stair Racing

I started out 2011 right. Our local running club, Wabash River Runners Club, hosted a Run in the New Year Run. It was a gorgeuos morning, unseasonably warm for Indiana (45 degrees) and great to meet up with other local runners. The race began and ended at the Hilton Garden Inn, where there was a brunch to follow the race. I went out for the loop run and I left from there to get home and spend Jan 1 with my boys, and save some calories from the brunch. Great morning, great start to 2011, to run in the new year.

Up next in 2011...

In a few weeks I am doing a new race for me, not a 5K, half marathon or a tri. I am doing a stair race, Bop to the Top. It is a 36 flight race to the top of the tallest building in Indianapolis. All the pro
ceeds go to Riley Children's Hospital, which I love. I am debating whether to do the triple devision or not, where you run the 36 flights three times in a row. It would definitely be a challenge for me, but I know I can do it.

So here is my training program
Find some stairs and climb 'em
