
I am up bright and early on this cold, rainy Saturday morning, getting ready to go to my first weight watchers meeting. It is funny how I just had a huge accomplishment (running my first marathon), yet I am still so self-negative. I need to shed the rest of this unwanted weight, but more than that, I need to be more conscious of what I am putting into my mouth. I want to eat more fruits and veggies and whole foods. Since, I have read "Skinny Bitch," my whole take on food (especially meat) has changed. I highly recommend this book. So, here is to a healthier, happier, more aware Lauren.

Pat yourself on the back for doing something to improve your body. Hey, many people would just stay in bed on a cold rainy day. Actually this is what I am tempted to do but maybe I won't.
