I attended my week one meeting @ weight watchers which was not quite what I expected, but I got a lot of it. I am sure that it is where I need to be. It will give me the structure that I need to feed my OCD habits :)
Here a summary of how the meeting went:
~Mary, the leader, handed out Bravos (little stickers) to all those who felt they accomplished something during their week.
~People were throwing
around neat ideas to help one another. One I liked was to pick a place you want to visit, for me Portland, then see how many miles to that destination, then track how many miles you have walked/ran/biked until you reach your destination. FUN :)
~The main topic of the meeting was, Celebration. How do I celeb
rate? I celebrate with family, with friends, with rewards.
~ It was mentioned that Diabetic Living magazine has great recipes... diabetic or not.
~Evidenta
ly, Weight Watchers is launching a new program the week after Thanksgiving, stay tuned.
~Another great tip is to use a Sharpe marker to write the points values directly on the container/jar/box once you have calculated it. Anything to save time.
~And a great quote, "Celebrate any progress, don't wait to be perfect."
~Keep a victory log to jot down any small or large victories during the week. Review them when you are getting discouraged.
So, today was my first day counting points. I have the iPhone application, which makes it really quick and easy to track and calculate. Stayed on
track with my points... and kicked some butt in my Spin class :) Burnt some major calories. Made a yummy dinner (bbq, grilled tofu, whole grain veggie rice and green beans 8points) Hope everyone has a fabulous week.

WEEK ONE:POST SPIN
What I want to accomplish this week:
~track anything and everything that goes into my mouth
~get in an hour daily at the gym
~look up new recipes on how to prepare tofu
~stay positive about work
~reach my 5% goal by weigh in on Saturday
~Pay it Forward

Of course there would be Weight Watchers app for iphone.
I might need a more structured approach to eating also. Fall has not been easy on me.
Great post. Hope you can achieve the things you listed here.. Good luck.
the iPhone app is the BEST!!!
